WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO BE ACCEPTED INTO A UNIVERSITY IN THE UNITED STATES?
First, you need to complete high school and receive a diploma. Second, most schools have a minimum GPA (Grade Point Average) in order to be accepted into their school. The higher your grades, the more options you will have for choosing a school.
WHEN CAN I START THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR A UNIVERSITY?
Gathering the proper documentation before you are ready to apply is key. Getting together your transcripts, test scores (SAT/ ACT, TOEFL/ Duolingo). You will only apply to a specific school if it is one that you are interested in, and the coach has expressed interest in you applying.
DO I NEED TO TAKE THE ACT/ SAT?
It depends on the school. Many schools require that you add your test scores to your application. It is possible that some schools allow you to submit an application without test scores.
DO YOU GUARANTEE GETTING A SCHOLARSHIP OR GETTING COMMITTED TO A SCHOOL?
According to NCAA bylaws, we are not allowed to nor do we guarantee any type of scholarship or acceptance to a University. Our services is to simply put yourself in the best situation possible to be recruited in hopes to receive a scholarship (academic, athletic, or both).
DO YOUR SERVICES END ONCE I COMMIT TO A UNIVERSITY?
No. We will continually check in with you and see if there is anything we can do to help your transition into the United States easier. We will do our best to follow your performances and your team’s progress. We look forward to keeping our relationship growing with you!
WHAT EXPENSES DOES MY FEE WITH XG SPORTS GROUP INCLUDE?
In your membership, your fees cover all of the services provided for you. This includes all of the recruiting hours that will be put into your personal profile. We will not cover additional fees such as test fees, travel fees, visa fees, or anything outside of our services.
IS THERE A CHANCE MY CURRENT SCHOLARSHIP CAN INCREASE IF I PERFORM WELL?
This is dependent on conversations between you and your coach. Each school and program is different, with budgets varying in size from school to school. Does it happen? Absolutely. Is more money guaranteed? No. This is at the discretion of your coach.
IF I AM INTERESTED IN TRANSFERRING FROM ONE SCHOOL TO ANOTHER, WILL XG SPORTS GROUP ASSIST ME?
Yes, for a small additional fee, we will be there to help you market yourself and find a new school for you. It will be a similar process as the original, which is why there is a smaller fee attached. Updating your profile, highlight video, and player information will be important when searching for your new school.
HOW MANY TIMES AM I ABLE TO TRANSFER SCHOOLS?
Each player is allowed a one-time transfer from a 4 year school to another 4 year school. If a second transfer is desired, then that player must forfeit one full year of eligibility and miss a full year of team activities.
